Bertrand Hallward

Bertrand Hallward (May 24, 1901 – November 17, 2003) was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nottingham. He had previously served as Headmaster of Clifton College. The Hallward Library of the University of Nottingham is named after him. Also, subsequent to his death, a girl's boarding house at Clifton College was established & named after him (Hallward's House).[1][2]
