Bertil Nordenstam

Rune Bertil Nordenstam, born in 1936[1] Professor emeritus from the Swedish Museum of Natural History, author and a botanist who has specialized in the Colchicaceae and Asteraceae families and work to define the Senecioneae and Calenduleae[2]

He was a member of the British Mycological Society and involved with Botanische Staatssammlung München (M), South African National Biodiversity Institute, Compton Herbarium, the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève, Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (P) and the Swedish Museum of Natural History Department of Phanerogamic Botany (S), where he currently still is active.[2]

From 1948 through present he has collected plant specimens in Europe: Greece, Sweden; Western Asia: Turkey; Chinese region: Mongolia; North Africa: Egypt; Southern Africa: Namibia, South Africa.[3]
