Bert Yarnall was a Scottish footballer who, in the 1910s, played for the Airdrie team, Airdrieonians, achieving record results in 1916–17.
As Scotland and all of the UK struggled in the third year of World War I, Bert Yarnall finished as the top scorer in the Scottish Football League Division One in the 1916–17 season, scoring 39 goals.[1] This was the highest single-season total ever recorded for the club.[2]
