Bernabel (Bernie) Castro (born July 14, 1979 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) plays second base in the New York Yankees organization. He started in 2005 with the Baltimore Orioles but signed with the Nationals for the 2006 season as a free agent in the offseason. On January 6, 2008 he signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees.

He appeared in only 24 games his rookie season, registering 7 RBIs. In 2006, Castro established himself as a true big leaguer with his speed and versatility contributing to much of his success.
