Bernice Hansen

Bernice Hansen (born 1925) was a voice artist who did a number of female character voices for Warner Bros. cartoons in the 1930s and early-1940s. She also did male characters that required squeaky voices.
Hansen is often credited with voicing the mouse called Sniffles, although some researchers dispute that credit [1]. In fact, IMDb considers Gay Seabrook to be the voice of Sniffles [2], as does Turner Classic Movies, which most often airs the Sniffles cartoons. [2]
Hansen, like all the Warner voice artists (except Mel Blanc) received no on-screen credits in the cartoons, and with several of the 1930s female voices (Hansen, Seabrook and Sara Berner [3]) apparently having a similar sound, research on the matter has proven challenging.
