Bernard Lavigne is a French judge. Working for the international court, and specifically tasked with the enforcement of international law in the Congo, M. Lavigne pursued Congolese war criminals and combated the phenomenon of child soldiers. In a story of incredible courage, M. Lavigne visited the Congo ten days every month to pay his informants, passing the information to UN peacekeeping forces. M. Lavigne concluded his 4 year mission last June and now heads the French Justice Department in Toulouse.
