Berislav Rončević

Berislav Rončević (born June 23, 1960 in Borovik) is a Croatian politician, and currently the Minister of Internal Affairs in the Government of Croatia. He previously served as Minister of Defense.
he has been trained as a lawyer. He has been a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) since the 1990s. He began his political career in the party in the town of Našice, and afterwards within the Osijek-Baranja County. He was assistant to the mayor, and later mayor himself of Našice. He has been a representative in the Croatian Parliament since 2000. After parliamentary elections in 2003 he took on the portfolio of defence minister.
