Bergiaria is a small genus of catfishes (order Siluriformes) of the family Pimelodidae. It contains two species, B. platana and B. westermanni.[1]
Bergiaria species originate from South America. B. platana inhabits the Paraná River.[2] B. westermanni is distributed in the Das Velhas River basin in the São Francisco River drainage.[3]
B. platana reaches a length of about 9.1 centimetres (3.6 in) SL.[2]
