The Beregsău River is a tributary of the Bega Veche River in Romania.
The rivers of the Banat plain have been channelized. The channelization started in the 18-th century and has continued in the following centuries. At present most of these rivers have been integrated into the system of drainage channels of the area. This development has significantly modified the original natural river network.
The lower reach of the Beregsău river is often called Bega Veche River (Old Bega River) though it is not part of the previos course of the Bega River before the channelization.
