Berden is a village and civil parish in Essex, England. It is located 9 km (5 miles) north from Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and is 33 km (20 miles) northwest from the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the district of Uttlesford and in the parliamentary constituency of Saffron Walden. The village has its own Parish Council.[1]
The local church is St Nicholas Church.[1]
According to the 2001 census it had a population of 427.[citation needed]
