[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Mark Chua.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mark Chua.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.96.252 09:37, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dalit Bisaya
Put a paragraph in the school article. User:Zoe|(talk) 06:16, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
There is nothing in the article which explains how it is notable outside of the school community. User:Zoe|(talk) 06:19, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
If I undelete it, will you edit the article to make it clear that this is not a school activity? I'll give you some leeway, but if it's still not notable, then I'll have to redelete it. User:Zoe|(talk) 06:25, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
It clearly falls under G7 of Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. I have offered to undelete it if you will edit it to make it clear that there is something the least little bit notable babout it, but it appears that you would rather complain that edit the article. User:Zoe|(talk) 06:47, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bisaya Magasin
There was nothing there. It was a placeholder of no value. There's nothing to undelete. I am sure it's notable. If you ever write a stub, feel free to just post it on top of what was deleted. Until you do, we don't need something that says, "Bisaya Magasin is the foremost literary outlet of Cebuano writers." - crz crztalk 16:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- No, nothing personal, WP:NOR. Also read WP:RS for answer on your encyclopedia... - crz crztalk 12:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Maps
I just saw your note at TheCoffee's talk page. Do you know Wikimedia Commons? This is a repository of free images made available to all Wikimedia projects including Cebuano Wikipedia. All the maps are already there. You need not upload it again to the local wiki. Example: see ceb:Image:Ph locator negros oriental bacong.png. That file is not uploaded at the ceb-wiki but you can access it like it was there. Just put [[Image:Ph locator negros oriental bacong.png]] on the page.
Hope this lessen your load. --bluemask (talk) 17:27, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi there!
Hi there Bentong Isles! I am Kevin Ray, from Barangay Tisa, Cebu City. I am very glad that I am not the only Cebuano here in Wikipedia.
I am also interested in Cebuano articles though I am busy with Philippine politics-related articles especially the presidents and the government itself. I am interested in writing the bio of Vicente Rama because he's the namesake of our school, DVRMNHS.
Well, nice to meet you again! -- Kevin Ray 14:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies
Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 20:16, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Legislative districts
What data set do you need? --Scorpion prinz (Talk | contribs) 15:21, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- It's actually a book but it was made only for reference and wasn't sold in the market, the National Library has it, Senate and Congressional libraries. I just photocopied it - Roster of Philippine Legislators 1907 to 1987. You can also use as reference, Speakers of the Legislative Branch at the end, it has all the members per period, however for the Batasang Pambansa and National Assembly of the 2nd Philippine Republic and 8th Congress it didnt indicate the districts they represent. I had to cross reference the resources. There's a microfilm at the National Library which has the members of the 2nd Philippine Republic National Assembly per province/city. Plus elections results from COMELEC 1946 to present, I don't know if they survived the fire, but I have about an inch thick of photocopies of it. I don't have them encoded in any of my documents. I just typed them here. --Scorpion prinz (Talk | contribs) 14:05, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Springdale-logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Springdale-logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 05:17, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of PAREF Springdale School
A tag has been placed on PAREF Springdale School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Vassyana (talk) 22:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Springdale-logo.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Springdale-logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:45, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
