[edit] Superrelativity
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Superrelativity, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Superrelativity. SJK (talk) 07:51, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Mark Fiorentino
A tag has been placed on Mark Fiorentino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Daltxn (talk) 23:37, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Mark Fiorentino. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 23:58, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Superrelativity
I have nominated Superrelativity, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superrelativity. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
I assume that if there are better sources you would be using them. Is this a source, or is Superrelativity different from Super Relativity or what? ——Martinphi ☎ Ψ Φ—— 03:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 03:57, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Superrelativity
An editor has nominated Superrelativity, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superrelativity and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Comments at AfD
Just to let you know, commenting on every vote at AfD is not considered good practice, and will not help your cause in the end. The time spent would be much better served improving the article as per the comments expressed at AfD, and will help the article to be kept in the end. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here and I'll try to help. Thanks. —BradV 04:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your advice. I am not yet trained in proper wikiquette. I have a question. How will it be possible to clean-up the article if Mr. Fiorentino is the one who is most knowledgable about the subject? We would need some big relativists.

- Generally it is not experts on a particular subject who create the articles, it's people who see the need for an article. Remember that all articles have to properly sourced, verifiable and with a neutral point of view. What this means is that you don't create an article off the top of your head using your own knowledge, but you research the topic and create an article based on your research. The advantage of this is that anyone can create an article on anything using nothing but Google. Some of the best articles are written this way. —BradV 04:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Closing admin possibilities
Deleting the page and putting it in user space would not allow a link like that. I suspect that there aren't enough mainstream sources to establish WP:NOTABILITY, but if there are and you only need time to get them (you need to publish them of for some reason they are hard to tell us about now), then putting it in userspace would only be a temporary measure. Wiki pages can be re-created or un-deleted. ——Martinphi ☎ Ψ Φ—— 02:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
