[edit] Cars unable to acend a slope image

Hey, I took that picture. Heres some more info on it: The road hadn't been plowed and afer a bunch of cars drove on it overnight, all the sluch they packed down turned into ice. (that grey stuff on the road) Yes they sell snow tires here, but about 5 in 1 million cars have them, and those are the cars people use to go offroading in. What was really needed are studded snow tires, but I don't think they are legal in VA. Now, in Northern Virginia, a lot of the drivers are new, and inexperienced, and have never driven in snow. Additionaly, for some reason there is a general consensus that if you are a soccer mom driving a minivan or SUV way too fast for conditions in order to get your kids to school on time, or in a frantic rush to the nearest supermarket to load up on bread, milk, and toilet paper, then you can go as fast as you want and do fine. Note the minivan in the middle of the picture spinning around. Another thing is, people go "I have four wheel drive, so i can go fast on snow and ice, no problem".
