[edit] STATEMENT
Any articles submitted by me were done so on good faith on the understanding that Wikipedia was a reputable resource. I do not agree with many of the backward policies on this site or with the insularity of its administrators. I request articles such as Howards' Way, Prisoner and the Secret Army episode guide be rewritten so my original text is no longer featured on the site. I do not endorse the reliability of Wikipedia in any way, and would not recommend it (either for reference or contributions) to anyone in the future. Ben King 12:50, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] STATEMENT 2
Administrator The JPS is an insular, officious little drone who is obviously on a power trip. An utterly sad, small-minded piece of shit.
[edit] I don't blame you for leaving
Of course I don't know your reasons for leaving the Wikipedia community, but if they have anything to do with the dispute over fair use regarding magazine covers, I don't blame you. You may or may not have noticed that all your TV Guide images have been removed. Sorry, man -- I do NOT support the current fair use policy regarding magazines and I feel it is unnecessarily restrictive (you should see the damage being done to articles on magazine models). That barnstar you received was well deserved as I personally feel Wikipedia is a poorer place because of the loss of these images. 23skidoo 11:47, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for your note of support.
- I would second that. They were helpful and illustrative, and it seems over-zealous that they were removed, and in a rather abrupt manner too. Certainly the articles I am involved in look much poorer now. It seems a shame that the users so bothered about removing the magazine covers couldn't find images to replace them with first. - Thanks again. You're quite right - there are some very sad individuals on Wikipedia whose administrative "status" has clearly gone to their heads.
-
- I would certainly agree that it's a shame you decided to leave Wikipedia - I saw many of your contributions and they were great - particularly with regard to articles such as Secret Army and Survivors. The current policy about magazine covers I have no hard opinion about, but the lack of (use of) such covers is surely only a minor thing and the information that Wikipedia contains (including the content you have added) is surely vastly more valuable. I'd like to thank you for that content, and hope that you don't continue to try removing it. Stephenb (Talk) 09:00, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

- Administrative "status" is seriously the best way of putting it. I imagine these users are on a power trip with their admin "status" and don't realize they're deleting valuable things and chasing away great users like you. You are worth a million Carnildos and a thousand Mindspillages.
-
- Please rewrite the Secret Army episode guides. I do not wish to have my original text featured on Wikipedia. Thank you.
- Unfortunately, I disagree with you here. When you press "Save page," you make the text property of WP. juppiter talk #c 18:25, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ADVICE
Hi, Ben King. You might be interested in viewing this site - Wikipedia Review - to discuss about the potential flaws of the Wikipedia system. Also, feel free to contact Johnny if you want to join him to break the bastard sysops (Curps and JPS alike). You can find Johnny mostly at Crass, usually from 20:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC. [edit] Break in the Sun
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Break in the Sun, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 172.144.53.226 00:49, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Last Enemy
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article The Last Enemy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 11:00, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of The Last Enemy
An editor has nominated The Last Enemy, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Last Enemy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:59, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kings (TV series)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kings (TV series), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Kings (TV series). B. Wolterding (talk) 14:21, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:GerardMaguire.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:GerardMaguire.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:11, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
