[edit] Username
Hi again. I'm an administrator here at Wikipedia, and thus am involved with the various maintainence things that go on. It just so happens that another user has a very similar username to yours (User:BenAveling) and has been a contributor for a few months. Thus, according to our username policy, he has a right to keep his username and request you change yours. I wonder if you'd volunteer to change your username, which is a relatively harmless process, or you can have this account closed and register another one with a username that doesn't conflict. Just reply on this page, and I'll see your message, guaranteed. Thanks. Harro5 21:23, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Hi Ben,
Pleased to meet you. But to avoid any potential confusion between you and I, could I trouble you to change to a user name which is clearly different to my own? A variation is fine, so long as it's clear that we're different users.
Thanks, Ben Aveling 00:19, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
