The Internet is a massive database that was originally designed for military use only. It is now open to the public and is used for communication, advertising, entertainment, and education along with many more things. It is a extremely complex and yet simple invention.

The Internet is a computer-based global information system. The Internet is composed of many interconnected computer networks. Each network may link tens, hundreds, or even thousands of computers, enabling them to share with one another and to share computational resources such as powerful supercomputers and data bases of information. The Internet has made it possible for people all over the world to effectively and expansively communicate with one another. This allows extreme amounts of information and education. From news to small talk and modern media.

People can take full classes online and our school has a blog-spot were the teachers post homework assignments and announcements. Students can also E-mail homework to teachers, and get help without calling. You can even do homework online. You can also take full schooling from K-whatever you want.
Unlike traditional broadcast media, such as radio and television, the Internet does not have a centralized distribution system. Instead an individuals who has internet can communicate directly with someone else who is online. You can also make almost any information available to others online. You can buy or sell just about anything and usually find it cheaper than in the store. The Internet has revolutionized education and everyday life.

Jimbo Wales has contributed a lot to the Internet. Despite wikipedias claim that its not a reliable source you can gain a lot of information from it. Anyone can put info on it and must give references other than their own thoughts. There are 2,324,010 articles just in english. When you add this to the already large amount of stuff online you get the greatest store of information the world has ever seen.
