Ms. Abrakasa has been teaching at Victoria Park since November of 2000 and she has been the head of the English department for her third year now. Not only is she at present the head of the English department, but she is also the head of the ESL department. Ms. Abrakasa studied at the University of Lagos in Nigeria where she earned her B.Ed in English and history. She then traveled to Saskatoon where she studied at the University of Saskatchewan to earn her M.Ed. At the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Ms. Abrakasa completed the Master of Liberal Arts program. To complete her education, she earned a diploma in accounting from Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. Before teaching at Victoria Park, Ms. Abrakasa worked as a supply teacher in Sudbury for twelve years and taught English at Laurentian University for nine years. Ms. Abrakasa is not planning on leaving Victoria Park anytime soon, but she will not be the English head next year and two other teachers will take her position.
