[edit] Doctor?
The 1739 royal charter of the Foundling Hospital lists a "Dr. Benjamin Hoadley" whose "Place of Abode" is "Charles Street, St James's Square" as a founding governor. - It's probably his son, also called Benjamin Hoadly, (1706–1757), physician and playwright according to Oxford DNB. Tim! (talk) 17:21, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
