Talk:Benefit

[edit] Odd addition, cut
- Under English law it is an offence for A dishonestly to induce B to confer a benefit by doing some act, or causing or permitting some act to be done, on the understanding that the benefit has been or will be paid for: see Theft Act 1978.
As far as I can see, this just a statement that one form of theft is to defraud somone into giving you something, thinking it has been or will be paid for. The fact that it uses the word benefit is more a matter for a dictionary than an encyclopedia. If there is something more to this, it might deserve another article, but this page should just disambiguate and point to that. -- Jmabel | Talk 07:27, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
