[edit] Speedy deletion!

The speed that the deletion request was taged explains that who even tagged it did not read the article. Notability is in no way a contested issue. There are 3 major scholars who wrote about this guy, in addition to his funeral that was the most NOTABLE in the history of tangier city funerals. So please, retract that request..thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yusayr (talkcontribs)

[edit] About the tone and wikification

Usually when a tag is placed, there must me some details on where the work should be done to improve the article. Now in terms of wikification and tone, and compared to many other articles, this article is neutral in tone, fact reporting with no original researh, and wikified better then many untagged other artciles. There is no need for the tags, or if some details on where work should be done in this article, they are much appreciated.--Yusayr (talk) 20:02, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

  • I'll go along with the removal of the wikify tag, but the tone of this article is still questionable, in my opinion -- it's a bit too conversational. Instead of restoring the tag, however, I'm going to rewrite the sections to remove tone problems that I see.
Also, I'm curious about whether there are web-accessible versions of the references you list -- it's not necessary for them to be on the web to have a well-referenced article, of course, but if they are on the web, other people can check them out and expand references more easily. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 20:47, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, actually you can modify the writting style to neutralize more the tone if you wish. You know that the traslation from Arabic to English is not an eazy one and sometimes one may fall in that transliteration issue. Please go ahead to improve..--Yusayr (talk) 21:22, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, given that the Arabic words I know can be counted without having to use the fingers on both hands :-) I'll trust your translation and just try to clean up the style a bit. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 22:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

As far as the references are concerned, I will search online to see if some can be found, worst if never, I will offer to copy or scan the refernces from my library and forward them over to whoever interested.--Yusayr (talk) 21:24, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure it's necessary to scan the references, but if you have the time, it might be a good idea to scan the referenced pages and load them up to the Wikisource project for other people to use. (Thanks, btw!) -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 22:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I have taken pictures of a book the book and the review with page numbers and uploaded them here, here, here, here and here I hope you can see and sorry for my 2 MPic phone quality..thanks--Yusayr (talk) 23:46, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

I actually added two online links to diversify the sources..thanks--Yusayr (talk) 21:50, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] His father

I just noticed that, according to the article Ben Sadiq was born in 1920 and his father died in 1887. Given the 33-year gap, perhaps that was meant to be a birthdate for his father? -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 20:59, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

  • your point is valuable and your cooperation is very much appreciated, here is the reference between my hand stating exactly this:

Ben Sediq Abdelaziz: Born on unspecified day of the arabic month of Jumada al Ula 1338 Hijri, so after calculating this on the on line software that tranlates dates from Hijri to Gregorian, it gave that he was born on: February 1920 and died on Friday Rajab 6th 1417 Hijri that translates to November 6 1997.

His father: born on unpecified date and month and the hijri year is 1295 which is 1887 and died and died on 1354 hijri which is 1935 Gregorian.

This means that you are right..and there must be corrections..thanks--Yusayr (talk) 21:37, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

  • ..thanks ArglebargleIV for making the page more beautiful, I agree that the book image was unecessary--Yusayr (talk) 15:03, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ben Sediq Abdelaziz 1.jpg

Image:Ben Sediq Abdelaziz 1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
