[edit] Mountain or Plateau
As far as I can tell, there is no particular peak with the name Ben Lomond - it seems to refer only to the entire plateau. Can point me to a peak with the name? Otherwise I'll change the terminology accordingly --Ozhiker (talk) 15:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I think you are correct that the highest peak is not called Ben Lomond. The National Parks map (http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/natparks/benl/map.html) would seem to indicate that the highest peak is Legges Tor (http://www.geonames.org/2160394/legges-tor.html). According to http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=ben however, Ben means mountain, so even tho the highest peak is called Legges Tor, it is still correct to call Ben Lomond a mountain. If anything it is a tautology to say "Ben Lomond is a mountain" as it is like saying "Mountain Lomond is a Mountain" --Lauchlin (talk) 00:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Do you think we should list the peaks on the mountain on the page or perhaps merge pages like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legges_Tor into the main Ben Lomond article? --Lauchlin (talk) 01:02, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
