[edit] Conflicting stories

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Chapman_(baseball_player) says: "The backlash against Chapman was so severe that he asked to pose in a photograph with Robinson when the two teams next met in Philadelphia in May (in the photo, the two do not shake hands; they hold opposite ends of a baseball bat)."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Robinson says: "Baseball Commissioner Happy Chandler admonished the Phillies and asked Chapman to pose for photographs with Robinson as a conciliatory gesture."

The two different accounts can't both be right. Someone who knows needs to straighten the two conflicting stories out. Thanks.4.249.186.32 02:21, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
