Description

A plaque erected by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Bennington Battlefield State Historic Site in Walloomsac, New York. It commemorates the achievements of commemorating the achievements of the Massachusetts volunteer milita against the British forces under Colonel Friedrich Baum during the Battle of Bennington, waged on 16 August 1777. Photographed from up the hill on 30 May 2008.
