Bent Fuglede

Bent Fuglede (b. October 8, 1925) is a Danish mathematician, and now retired professor (emeritus) from University of Copenhagen. Although he is retired, he is still an active mathematician, and is still producing articles, as well as frequenting his office at the University of Copenhagen.
Fuglede is known for his contributions to mathematical analysis, in particular functional analysis, where he is accredited for the result Fuglede's theorem.
