Benoît Cheyrou (born 3 May 1981) is a footballer from France who currently plays as midfielder for Olympique de Marseille in the French Ligue 1. He is a central midfielder with great vision and passing. He is also adept at defending.

He signed for l'OM from AJ Auxerre on the 21st of June 2007, and was presented along with new recruits Gaël Givet and Laurent Bonnart. His capture was announced the day before.

He caught the eye of sporting director Jose Anigo during the 2006-07 season. He played a pivotal role in the AJA team, he was also the team captain that season. His arrival to Marseille brings great balance to the midfeild and will compete with Modeste M'Bami for the starting role along with workaholic Lorik Cana.
