Bennet Bicknell

Bennet Bicknell (November 14, 1781 - September 15, 1841) was a U.S. Representative from New York.
Born in Mansfield, Connecticut, Bicknell attended the public schools. He moved to Morrisville, New York, in 1808. He served in the War of 1812. He served as member of the State assembly in 1812. He served in the State senate 1814-1818. He served as clerk of Madison County, New York from 1821 to 1825. He was editor of the Madison Observer.
Bicknell was elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-fifth Congress (March 4, 1837-March 3, 1839). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1838 to the Twenty-sixth Congress. He died in Morrisville, New York, September 15, 1841. He was interred in Morrisville Rural Cemetery.
