Benjamin Baltes (born March 30, 1984) is a German footballer who plays for Rot-Weiß Essen.

During his youth career, Baltes played for KFC Uerdingen, though in 2005/06 he started playing for SC Freiburg. He began playing for Uerdingen in 2002, having switched from the youth team to the first team. During this time he picked up eight goals from 32 senior appearances.

Just after Baltes achieved a player of the year award for Uerdingen, he found himself on the move, unhappy that he would be playing second division football. He decided to move to SC Freiburg, where he is contracted until 2008. Baltes has played for the German Under-20 national team.

In August 2006 he switched to VfB Lübeck, where he played for eighteen months, before moving to RW Essen.
