Benita Farmer (born September 26, 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American gospel singer, songwriter, musician and instructor. She is the founder of the group Benita Farmer & New Journey.

Benita Farmer is the product of a musical family that includes her mother, award-winning gospel artist turned pastor Barbara Ward Farmer and her father Lawrence Farmer III. Farmer first took up the saxophone and piano before she began singing in her late teens.

In 2003 Benita began a self-titled band which later became Benita Farmer & New Journey with her brother, Lawrence Farmer IV in 2007.
