Beni Prasad Verma (born 11 February 1941) is an Indian politician for the Kaiserganj (Lok Sabha Constituency) in Uttar Pradesh.
He was the PWD minister for UP for several years and did very good work for the development of the state and its roads. He played an instrumental role in the turnaround of UP Bridge Corporation along with the then Managing Director Shri Darshan Singh Batra (D.S Batra)
He also served as the Union Communications Minster in the Deve Gowda cabinet and did very good work in liberalising the policies.
Now he has formed his own political party known as the SKD (Samjwadi Kranti Dal ) a separation from Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party . SKD does not have any seat apart from an MP Seat held by Beni. He is now reported to be going back the Congress and supporting Rahul Gandhi as PM. He has made a suggestion that Manmohan Singh should not seek re-election since he is already 75.
