Bendigo South East Secondary College (temporary name for two merged schools Flora Hill Secondary College and Golden Square Secondary College and will be renamed later in 2008) is one of four new colleges planned to be built in line with the Bendigo Education Plan. It will be built to replace the current buildings on the Flora Hill Secondary College site.
Golden Square Secondary College is planned to be closed at the end of 2008 however, this decision will be confirmed later in 2008 as building works and student numbers may complicate the closure process.
For the 2008 school year, an acting principal has been chosen for each campus and a permanent principal will be chosen to begin in 2009.
A new uniform will be phased in over two years, 2008\2009 and the new uniform will be worn as of 2010. (2008\2009, children will continue to wear old school's uniform.)
