Bend of Islands is a locality north-east of Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, Australia, and is located on the north bank of the Yarra River near the town of Yarra Glen. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Nillumbik.
The locality was gazetted in 2000 after a petition from local residents, having previously been part of Christmas Hills and Kangaroo Ground. The name is descriptive - it is located on a bend of the Yarra River near its confluence with Watson's Creek.
The Bend of Islands incorporates the area of the former Environmental Living Zone now known as Special Use Zone (SUZ) - Environmental Living in the Nillumbik Planning Scheme.
