Benjamin Thomas Zobrist (born May 26, 1981 in Eureka, Illinois) is an American baseball player and currently plays in Minor League Baseball for the Durham Bulls. He is a switch-hitter but throws right-handed. Zobrist usually plays shortstop, and is noted for wearing old-fashioned stirrups. The Tampa Bay Rays acquired Zobrist and and Mitch Talbot from the Houston Astros for Aubrey Huff. Ben played college baseball for Dallas Baptist University. Ben also played for Olivet Nazarene University.
