Benjamin Smith (born 5 September 1986 in Whitley Bay) is a football goalkeeper, currently playing for Doncaster Rovers.
He has previously been on the books of Newcastle United's youth team and Stockport County, without making any first-team appearances for either club. He made his debut for Doncaster in a League Cup game against Wycombe on 24 October 2006, and has since established himself as Doncaster's first-choice goalkeeper despite his young age. He was a formerly a student of Whitley Bay High School. He went on loan to Lincoln City in November 2007.
