[edit] Information
Ben Mitchell was born in South Australia; In 1999, he was going to have a travel party with 2 of his friends: Kristy Earl and Liz Hunter; together they go on a road trip to North Australia to a place called Wolf Creek, But when they arrive at Wolf Creek they have to walk 3 hours to the crater, they camp for a little while and head back to their vehicle but when all ready to go, their car breaks down; after a while towards dark they see a light heading towards them and luckily it's a man called Mick Taylor (a tower, also the serial killer). He offers to tow them back to his place, so he can fix their car. He offers them all a drink, which has been spiked, while he's trying to fix the car they all go to sleep on the floor near him, but when his friend Liz Hunter wakes she finds herself tied up in an office room. He manages to escape through the desert, and falls down beside the road; the next morning a Swedish couple find him and take him back to civilization. As seen in the movie he gets put in an Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia aircraft and he tells the Australian Federal Police everything about what happened, and he is taken to court accused of the murders of his friends, but he was found not guilty, and convinced people it was Mick Taylor, a man the police could not find. In the credits it says that Ben Mitchell is now living in South Australia.
