Benjamin Foden (born 22 July 1985 in Chester) is a rugby union footballer who plays for Northampton Saints and England Sevens and has recently been named in the England Saxons team touring America and Canada during summer 2008.
A further highlight of Ben's career has been playing for the Mighty Minnows Rugby 7s side. Ben and has recently earned his place back in the formidable side for the Bournemouth Sevens festival, where the team will be renamed the Nikey Minnows for one tournament only following kind sponsorship from Nike.
Ben Foden's early career has been divided between playing at scrum-half and Fullback, though he can also operate on the wing. He was educated at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas, Cheshire before moving to Bromsgrove School in the Sixth Form. It is yet to be clear which position Foden will stick with during his career, although he has been linked with a transfer to Northampton Saints on the basis of a promise to play him at scrum-half; a promise that Sale Sharks can not give him considering his fantastic performances at fullback and the presence of England international scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth and the arrival of Welsh international Dwayne Peel for next season.
