Ben Esler is a screenwriter, director and actor from Melbourne, Australia. He will be appearing in the upcoming HBO miniseries The Pacific, Executive Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, in the role of Pfc. Charles "Chuck" Tatum, whose memoir on the Battle of Iwo Jima, "Red Blood, Black Sand", was used as source material for the series.
