Dr. Ben Davidson is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live, portrayed by actor Mark Derwin from February 1999 to August 2001 and briefly in January 2004. Davidson is best remembered as the last husband of town heroine Victoria Lord, who to this day carries the name "Victoria Lord Davidson."

Davidson came to Llanview in 1999 with a tumultuous past, and took a job as a bartender at Crossroads. It was there that he met Viki Lord Carpenter. The two became closer and when Ben's past with the mob caught up with him and he was shot; Viki came to his rescue. Ben had a long-standing feud with Asa Buchanan (who he would later learn to be his father) which caused the two many battles through Ben's years in Llanview. Asa had a heart attack during one of these confrontations and Ben was content to let him die, until Max Holden convinced him to save Asa's life. Eventually, after many battles, Asa learned to accept Ben as his son and they were able to get along with one another. Ben's mother Renee Divine was initially hurt by Ben's lies, but became close to Ben toward the end.
In 2001, Ben was pushed out of a second story window at Llanfair by Viki's alter ego, Niki Smith (Viki was suffering from a recurrence of her dissociative identity disorder). Viki's daughter Natalie Buchanan was blamed for pushing him, until Ben's amnesia cleared and he remembered that Niki had done it. He recovered from the fall; however, shortly after he was shot accidentally by Antonio Vega, who was trying to save Viki from Allison Perkins (who had kidnapped her). The incident left Ben in a coma, where he would stay (except for a brief moment spent with Viki in 2004 where he awoke to be with her one more time) until his passing on Valentine's Day 2004. Dorian Cramer Lord was by his side when he died, encouraging him to pass away so that Viki could have his heart transplanted into her. Ben's heart was transplanted into Viki (who was reluctant to take it) and she is alive and well to this day.
Ben will make an appearance on July 21, 2008, as part of the show's 40th anniversary celebration.[citation needed]
