Ben Broster (born 7 May 1982 in London, England) is an English-born Welsh international rugby union footballer. He qualifies to play for Wales through his Welsh mother. He is a tighthead prop and is known for his scrummaging technique and mobility. He is currently part of the Northampton Saints squad [1] for the start of the 2008/09 season after spending only one season in the Magners League. Ironically Broster made his Premiership debut for Saracens in 2002 against Northampton Saints[2] before making his debut start against London Wasps in 2003. He only played for the Scarlets for one season, having signed from Saracens in May 2007 after spending seven years with the London club, graduating from their academy.[3]

Broster was a member of the Wales squad that toured the USA and Canada in the summer of 2005, and was capped in games against both teams. He came off the bench to win his first cap against USA,[4] and scored a try on his debut start against Canada.[5] He was educated at Hurstpierpoint College and started his career coming though the ranks at Haywards Heath RFC.
