[edit] History

The first vines were planted in 2002 and currently there are eight acres of vineyards with a selection of Native American, hybrids and vitis vinifera wine grapes. The winery opened in 2005. [2]

[edit] Terroir

The rolling hills of the property provide a setting moderated by the Chesapeake Bay, the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers. The vineyards overlook Cat Point Creek and the Rappahannock River with cool breezes during the growing season. The sandy-clay loam has very good drainage and provides mineral aspects to the wine.
