Where's the map of where it is in IL? 70.218.176.94 22:53, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] People from Belleville, Illinois(?)

I find that several people who are listed in the article here as being from Belleville have no such similar statement in their own pages. I am in the process of trying to put people who are currently in the Category: St. Louisans page into more specific categories, but I can't place some of these people in a smaller category without probably having their specific connection to Belleville clearly made in the article. I would welcome any effort any of you might be able to make to assist me in this. Badbilltucker 18:52, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

This is true. Case in point: Darius Miles attended and graduated from East St. Louis Sr. High School before being drafted by the NBA.

False. Darius Miles was born in Belleville, Illinois in 1981. He later moved to East St. Louis.

I have tried to edit the entry on George Blair. His father was born in Scotland, and his ancestors are from Scotland according the history of St. Clair Vol. 1. The current entry has no citation. Some people use the mother as the marker for national origin -- was his mother French? I currently have an inquiry with the St. Clair Historical Society located in Belleville, IL. If you have a source for George Blair's nationality being French I would appreciate a citation for that information.

I will take a few mins tonight and assist in fixing up this article tonight. What you need to do with all these "Notable people" is have sources really to list as a fact. I also highly encourage you 24.207.178.86 to create a user name before doing changes, people give more credit to user names than IP addresses.--Kranar drogin 23:14, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Since there seems to be people who want to improve this article, I will stub out the sections that will need to be expanded. This is going by the FA of Detroit.--Kranar drogin 23:42, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notable People

I have moved this list of people here so that they can be worked into the article. You do not want a list of people, but have them worked into the article in some way.

So, we need to work them in in some way.--Kranar drogin 02:08, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

  • You can add Gustav Goelitz and Albert Goelitz, the founders of Jelly Belly Candy Co, to that list or just add Jelly B elly Candy Co to the articleDanot (talk) 12:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Images

As more of the article expands, these images should be inserted:

Not really room for them right this second.--Kranar drogin 02:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
