[edit] Illinois distribution
In clarifying Bell's exit from Illinois distribution based on facts from a recent Chicago Reader article, I removed a phrase stating that the Beer Industry Fair Dealing Act was written by Bill Wirtz, as I have found no confirmation of this. Wirtz authored a similar (but unrelated) act known as the Wine and Spirits Industry Fair Dealing Act in 1999, which was later struck down as unconstitutional. Also, according to the Reader, there's no "lapse period" and it's likely that the previous distributor will have a legal right to substantial compensation if Bell's tries to return to Illinois in "a year or five or ten" — or ever — so the previous statement that Bell's would return to Illinois after one year is just wishful thinking.
