Beluran

Beluran is a town and a district located in the Sandakan Division, in east Sabah, Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Its population was estimated to be around 70,900 in 2000. Beluran town is located about 86 km from Sandakan town. Telupid, a sub-district of Beluran, is located about 100 km from Beluran town. The district of Beluran was formerly known as Labuk-Sugud.
The population is a mixture of many ethnic groups, with the Kadazan, Dusun and Bajau, communities being the three largest components.
