Beloit Riverfest

The Beloit Riverfest is an annual festival held each July at Riverside Park in Beloit, Wisconsin. The festival is known for attracting tens of thousands of people from around the midwest, as well as for the internationally famous musicians who perform there each year, earning its name as "the largest rock festival of the midwest". Besides music; Riverfest has a carnival with over 30 rides, numerous shops and stores, and many food vendors from across the Stateline Area. Riverfest is held the second week of July and runs from Thursday thru Sunday. Riverfest 2007 will be held from July 12 - July 15.

Riverfest 2007 featured such bands as Steppenwolf, Little River Band, Eddie Money, Blue Öyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad, Cheap Trick, Crossfade, and Saliva. This year's event also featured Beloit's very own version of American Idol called Beloit Idol, with a cash prize of $2,007. The winner of Beloit Riverfest Idol 2007 was Adi Feldman-Schultz. Riverfest 2007 was the most successful year of Riverfest ever, attracting more than 60,000 fans. It was Riverfest's 20th anniversary.
