Belmonte Mezzagno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, located about 8 km south of Palermo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 10,424 and an area of 29.2 km².[1]

Belmonte Mezzagno borders the following municipalities: Altofonte, Misilmeri, Palermo, Santa Cristina Gela.

Belmonte Mezzagno is famous for its olive oil and goat's milk cheese

Benedetto Spera, member of the Sicilian Mafia convicted in absentia of the killings of anti-mafia judges Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone was born in Belmonte Mezzagno.
