The Belmont Soccer Club[1] is a public company and was formed in October of the year 1964. It now forms part of the Macquarie district with home ground Marks Oval located on Floraville Road, Floraville. After Australia's success in the world cup in 2006, participation at all levels has soared. Over the last few years many improvements have occurred and now the ground has the following key features:
- Two full size grounds;
- One Roo-ball field;
- Concrete dugouts;
- Large clubhouse;
- Off-field training facilities;
There are currently 685* registered players for the 2008 season, ~100 more then last year. There has been a plan for coaching assistance, establishing ties with Highfields Azzurri as well as Belmont Soccer Club Seniors, installing a watering system, refurbishing the clubhouse and improvements to the car park.
