Belle K. Abbott

Belle Kendrick Abbott (1842 – 1893) was an American author from the Deep South. Her only published novel was Leah Mordecai,[1] which was first issued in 1856. It is a coming of age story, set in the 1850s.
A native of Atlanta, Belle Kendrick married her first husband, Benjamin F. Abbott and lived for many years on Peachtree Street, between Cain (now International) and Harris.[2]
