Bellampalli is a town and a municipality in Adilabad district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Bellampalli had a population of 94,070 (2001).males 47701 females 46369 Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Bellampalli has an average literacy rate of 65.65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 57% of the males and 43% of females literate. 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Bellampalli mandal has 12 villages in it. Bellampalli is famous for the coalmines.
the first coal mine was established in 1936 by the british government. later the town developed very rapidly with escovating many coal mines.

Bellampalli is very well known for coal mines.It is the place for black diamonds. It is located to the border of Maharashtra and it is 200 km away from Adilabad which is head quarter of the district.
