Belinda Cordwell

Belinda Jane Cordwell (born September 21, 1965 in Wellington) is a retired female tennis player from New Zealand, who represented her native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There she lost in the first round of the women's singles competition to Great Britain's Sara Gomer. Cordwell won one title during her career, and reached her highest individual ranking on the WTA Tour on December 4, 1989, when she became the number seventeen of the world. Her most notable result was reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open in 1989, where she lost to Helena Sukova.
