- 1995: Three friends install a router, some modems and a server in a kitchen. Skynet is founded. One year later they have several hundreds of customers.
- 1996: The Belgian national phone company Belgacom targets the Residential Internet Market and takes a share of 25% in Skynet. Later that year Belgacom buys the entire company and becomes the market leader in the Residential Internet Market. Skynet changes its name to Belgacom Skynet.
- 1999: Belgacom Skynet is the first Belgian internet service provider to earn an ISO 9001 quality certificate.
- 2000: Belgacom Skynet becomes part of the French group Infosources, which is part of Belgacom.
- 2002: The Belgacom Skynet share is no longer quoted. The company is now completely part of Belgacom.
- 2004: All access infrastructure was moved to Belgacom. Skynet stopped providing internet access to focus on its portal site. Belgacom's internet access division is now official known as Belgacom ADSL.
