Belconnen Soccer Centre, also known as McKellar Soccer Centre is a stadium in the Canberra suburb of McKellar, in Australia. The playing surface is rectangular in shape and is used almost exclusively for football (soccer) matches. The venue is the home ground of ACT Premier League club Belconnen United FC.
The main grandstand is named after Ken Carter, who has been involved in the Belconnen Soccer Club since its formation and contributed significantly to the club's development.
The venue was opened on 23 November 2002 by ACT Senator Margaret Reid, the first match being a NSWPL match between Belconnen and Bonnyrigg White Eagles ending in a 2-2 draw.[1]
All matches of the 2003 OFC Women's Championship were held at this venue, the tournament won by Australia.
A-League team, Central Coast Mariners played Belconnen United at Belconnen Soccer Centre in 2007 and will play them again at the Belconnen Soccer Centre in 2008.
